River Walk Series
I have been painting madly over the last month. Working up a new series entitled River Walk. It is 12 canvas panels depicting beauty and chaos that is the Australian bush.
I am planning an exhibition in a couple of months in Brisbane to show these works.
Here is an example from the new series.

Back to Basics
I've now settled into the new studio space and have started off by going back to the good old Wet on Wet technique of painting landscapes. I was feeling like I was taking myself way too seriously and needed to start painting just for the joy of it.
Here is an example of some of the work that's coming out.
Hope you enjoy.

Relocation
Well after an epic struggle to find a new place to live we finally moved!
We are now living in Brisbane and in the inner suburbs.
A far cry from my last place with Kangaroos, Monitor Lizards and lots of trees. However, it does have some big advantages.
I have finally got my large shed where I will spend much of my time painting. As a mater of fact it is the first space I set up, even before putting my bed together. Hopefully I will be able to produce some nice new work there.
Cheers, Robi

Time Gets Away
It has been more then 6 months since I last posted to this site. It's not that Iv'e been sitting on my backside doing nothing, but have been very busy recording a new album. This has been a collaboration with an old friend and has captured most of my free time. The album should be out soon and will be available on iTunes. I will let everyone know the release date as soon as I know.
As far as my art work goes. I have only just started painting again and have a new vigour and enjoying the process of creating works again.
I am hoping to update this blog on a more regular basis and keep you informed about the work that is being produced.
Have a wonderful 2012 and I hope to be hearing about all your adventures in the world of art.
Cheers for now, Robi

Original Oil Paintings by Robi
This months highlight art work is "Devil's Marbles". A piece depicting the hardness and strange nature of the Australian bush. It is a not figurative work but utilises the colour and form of the desert.
the work has only just come back from the "Private Lives" exhibition held in Brisbane.
It's beautifully framed and varnished.
For price, visit the website www.robigallery.com or contact me through this blog site.
